Melting Chocolate | Anita's Organic Mill

When you’re using melted chocolate for a recipe, be careful to not burn it or make it seize. This makes it unmixable and hard. The easiest way to melt chocolate is in a microwave. Start at 1 minute and stir; then continue heating in 15-20 second intervals if needed.

You can also melt chocolate using the double boiler method. Add some water to a pot and bring it to a simmer. Place a glass bowl over top of the pot allowing the steam to melt the chocolate as you stir. Make sure the boiling water isn’t touching the base of the bowl.
