Summer Berry sauces are a simple addition to any dessert but oh so delicious. We find the most flavourful sauces are made from either strawberries, raspberries or blackberries. Its best to use fresh, local in season berries for maximum flavour but if that's not an option frozen will do. Drizzle these tangy, fruity sauces over ice cream, brownies, cupcakes or even on your morning pancakes.

  1. In a food processor or blender pulse the berries and zest together until smooth. Taste and add maple syrup/icing sugar to taste. If you don't want seeds in the finished sauce simply strain it through a fine sieve, If the seeds don't bother you then just store the sauce in the fridge until needed.
