Our Sprouted Whole Wheat Flour is the star in this recipe. Bold and hearty whole grain flours are great to use in scones. Try using a nice sharp cheddar to add some extra punch to the flavour. Enjoy these scones while still warm next time you are having a nice big bowl of soup or stew.


250g Anita’s Organic Sprouted Whole Wheat Flour

15g baking soda

Pinch Salt

8g chilli powder

Pinch Pepper

1 bunch Green onion chopped fine

1 hot Pepper chopped fine with seeds

1 cup grated cheese

½ cup milk

1 egg

3 tsp olive oil


Pre heat oven 425 F.

In a bowl blend flour, soda, salt, chilli powder, pepper, green onion, hot pepper, cheese.

In another small bowl blend milk, egg and oil.

Mix wet mixture to dry mixture, but do not over mix. Create a crumb consistency.

Place on floured board and press together, do not over work the dough. Should be wet and crumbly.

Cut out scone shapes from dough and place on baking sheet.

Bake for 21 minutes till golden brown.
