Anita's Organic is a family-owned and operated business. Part of that family includes President John MacKenzie's son, Kai, who was diagnosed at the age of three with Type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes. Through amazing support from doctors at B.C. Children's Hospital, the community, friends, and family, Kai is now thriving, and enjoys music, dance, and sports.
By eating complex carbohydrates, such as whole-grain goods, Kai's blood sugar levels are more stable for longer periods of time.
This is crucial for the short and long-term health of a person living with diabetes.
Providing healthy, pure and simple whole-grain foods has become a personal, business, and charitable pursuit. Anita's Organic supports both the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
At Anita's Organic, we believe that being well includes mental and emotional health. We support Abbotsford, B.C.-based CARES, a non-profit organization providing affordable professional therapy in the community.

"We've worked with Anita's Organic Mill for more than ten years, and what's impressed us most is not only their passion and commitment to current and emerging organic products, but their flexibility and dependability."
